Mindfulness in Relation to Diet Quality in Adults with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes: Results from Diabetes MILES-The Netherlands

Abstract Objectives The objectives of this study were to investigate the associations dispositional mindfulness and its facets with diet quality in Dutch adults type 1 diabetes 2 evaluate potential mediating role emotional distress these associations. Methods This was a cross-sectional using data from Diabetes MILES-The Netherlands. In total, 296 364 completed questionnaires. We assessed by Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire-Short Form, including total five facets: observing, describing, acting awareness, being non-judgmental, non-reactive, Healthy Diet 2015-index.
